Introduction to Segmentation – Merging Booking Types

Previously, bookings were categorized as GROUP or MICE. However, this distinction is no longer practical. Instead, segments are now used to clearly define and efficiently manage bookings.

New Structure: Segmentation Instead of Booking Types

Instead of using GROUP and MICE, bookings are now categorized into specific segments:

• Allotment / Block → For group bookings or reserved room allotments.
• Meeting Booking → For events, conferences, or meeting room reservations.

What This Means in Practice:

• When creating a booking, the appropriate segment is selected directly.
• The previous GROUP and MICE booking types are no longer relevant.
• Reports and analyses are now based on the new segments.
